This is a 1743 line engraving by George Vertue, after Remigius van Leemput and Hans Holbein the Younger. On paper measuring 493 × 547 mm it shows four figures in a balanced arrangement. The two kings—Henry VII on the left, Henry VIII on the right—sit in fine robes, their faces captured with delicate lines that give them quiet dignity. To their sides stand Queen Elizabeth of York and her daughter Jane Seymour, both rendered with careful detail to dress and posture. Vertue’s engraving reproduces Holbein’s original portrait in precise linear strokes, a testament to 18th‑century printmaking techniques.
